Post subject:  Crown of my avenger seawolf 04 keeps popping out

Hey all, so as the title says, the crown popped out... now im obviously gonna get it repaired and re-pressured but what kinda $ damage am i looking at?

the dealers in my country arent exactly friendly when it comes to advertising the repair prices and im just looking for a ball park figure where i know i wont get screwed...

oh sorry, Im from Israel.

Im just trying to get in to the ballpark of how much its gonna set me back, ive seen some horror stories about repair and i want to be ready if possible.

The best bet will be to call whatever is your nearest Breitling Service Centre and cut out the AD completely. They will be able to give you a good "ball park" figure, or range of figures, depending on what's wrong with it.

I would guess that either the crown thread, or the crown tube thread (or both) have stripped, which is why the crown pops out. Replacing the crown would be considerably cheaper than the crown tube as (if memory serves) the Seawolf, as part of the Avenger series, uses an integrated crown tube which would mean replacement of the entire mid-case. Plus you will be stung for a full service either way.

damn, i couldnt really get ahold of a lab and had to go through the the licensed importer here.
well the watch needs a service and a polish anyways but that sounds expensive... especially here haha

they should be contacting me next week with the quote... i just hope it wont be as much as a new one.
