I am thinking about sending my Bentley 6.75 back to breitling for service as the warranty is out. My local AD is not certified to work on the dual date mechanism. Should I send it back to BUSA myself, or let my AD do it? Will the AD charge me anything to send it back?

Thanks,

Jibba

AD shouldn't charge you, but I would recommend sending it direct - one less step in the process. Give them a call and they'll tell you how to send it.

Incidentally, just beacause the 2 year warranty has expired doesn't automatically indicate a service - it should be good for five years or so.

Don't put it in the hands of anyone who doesn't need to touch it. Send it direct. My 2 cents.

Yes - unfortunately there seems to be quite a few stories where one wishes it hadn't been sent through the AD. Go direct is my advice to - of course after calling BUSA telling them what you intend to do, get a reference name to ship it to and of course to send it insured.

I made the mistake to let my closest ad here in jersey send my thrusty Longitude to Busa and THE SERVICE QUOTE WENT FROM 1045.00 to at pickup at this ad TO 1248.00  .So i also recomend you to send it to BUSA yourself.
