I scored the watch for $4,600! Did I do alright?

Given that MSRP is $9250, $4600 is a good price for a new watch - although probably without a factory warranty. That said, perhaps the seller offers their own warranty.

Does breitling service/repair grey market watches?

They will, but that's likely a few years down the track.

Any warranty that a grey dealer offers on an in-house Breitling movement is basically worthless. Breitling does not sell in-house movement parts to anyone therefore no grey dealer, regardless of their reputation is going to be able to work on any Breitling in house movement. If needed you will be paying for any service issue you have from day one!

That’s correct. They offer 2 years warranty but not something I’d really count on. They’ve better reputation than jomashop tho.
The lowest I could find it with manufacturer warranty was $6600. I can’t imagine the potential repairs would be more than $2K.
I read somewhere breitling repair center doesn’t accept grey market watches for repair. I’m not sure if there is any truth behind that but I find that hard to believe.

Breitling will work on it but you will pay the full price of any work needed from day one.

should I take it to a watchmaker and have the movement tested? I had it shipped ground and looks like it’ll be delivered on Thursday. I will post the pics once I get it in.

If it’s new I'm not sure why you would bother with the time and expense to do that?

Just to make sure everything is running probably before wearing it. They offer 30 days money back if the watch is still new. Can I test it myself? Do you trust any of the timegrapher apps?

I received the watch today. Please let me know if everything looks legit. Also the warranty card shoes the ad information and the date. Does it mean it’s been activated?
