Hmm, my model B13055 (crosswind) has lume on the dialarrows, but they do not light up in the dark. Is that a common problem or did Breitling used low quality lume?

The lume will lose it's function/ability over time, even if I suspect it is a little bit too early for a Crosswind to fade already. If I'm not wrong, you can get the service center to re-lume the dial at the next service (or even earlier if you want, but then I suspect they will want to do a service then too).

The crosswind is a 1997 watch...should that be the problem?

It might be.

I know some places that will apply a "Super Lume" for less than the service center would. The people that posts pictures of their Panerai's look like they are torches

Hi, i just bought me a soc and i also find that the lube doen't realy light up ,could it be that the lube is loseing it's function/ability already? What;s the best way to test it ?

After years lume might start to loose it's capacity but not with the new watch.
Hold it 5 mins next to a bulb,after that go in the dark room.

Another thing I notice is the difference in different types of light sources. Incandescent and fluorescent bulbs don't seem to have near the same effect as that of natural sunlight. After just a few seconds outdoors my lume is brilliant when compared to inside.

I think they have the same effect but different time to achieve that.
