My AD told me that polishing my Crosswind comes extra above a full service. Is this true? I thought with a full service they always polish the watch

He told me full service is 400 euro (560USD) and polishing the watch is 175 euro (250USD).

Well, that was my honest reply also to the man, but in better words :)

I told him it should be included in a full service, but he told me that wasn't true. So i left the building some what confused :(

He is the only AD around so far...what to do?

Some of the more senior members can probably tell you if you can send to Breitling directly? I do not know.

As far as i know, Breitling don't "work" with end users. Everything has to go trough an AD.

Ah well, i will tell him that Breitling told me its all inclusive, hopefully he admits his fault.

Don't get ripped, go to another AD.

I agree. In today's financial climate he should be happy to get your business.

Where in NL are you located? I only visited one AD in Utrecht so far.

BUK told me that a polish was all part of a full service.

2 different ADs wanted either £70 or £300 for a service on my Aerospace - guess which one I used? They don't know everything - and some know nothing!

I would call Breitling in the Netherlands:

NETHERLANDS

Official Distributor
BREITLING NEDERLAND - M. KOSTER & ZONEN
POSTBUS 340
1170 AH BADHOEVEDORP
info@breitling.nl
Tel +31-(0)20-6596453 / Fax +31-(0)20-6595520

If they are as helpful as BUK they will be great and maybe even save you some money!

Well, they helped me alot!! I called them and they told me that it was only from october 2008 that polishing is included in a full service. Rather strange answer, i think, because i thought it was way earlier.

But they give me a price indication and i am happy with it. Hopefully others from Holland can use it.

Hmmmmm, well maybe the Breitling Netherlands are different because I had my Le Man serviced about 6 months ago at BUK and there was no question of a polish not being included.

Just as an aside, in my experience it's better to deal with Breitling direct instead of going via an AD. For example I send all my watches in to Breitling myself and cut the AD out of the loop completely.

I'll keep that in mind once I need a service. Was it every two years minor maintenace and every 5 years a ful service?
