Post subject:  How to remove strap from deployment clasp

Is there any tutorials on removing a strap from a Rubber/Military strap deployment clasp? I like to frequently swap my straps over between my watches but as I dont want to damage anything i take them to my AD who as i buy everything i have to buy new from them, Do it FOC. It normally takes them 30 mins but I would like to be able to do it myself.I have a Bergeon 6825 spring tool. Looked on YouTube but there is nothing on there.

Thanks

It takes your AD 30 mins to swap a strap over?? It's a 2 minute job at the most IMO....

I must be honest I've never owned (and therefore never swapped) a Breitling deployant used on their rubber straps, but I can't imagine it's held to the strap with anything other than a couple of spring bars.

That said, the Bergeon 6825 (while being a superb tool) is really designed for bracelets, so while I'm sure you could make it work just fine, I'd personally use a Bergeon 6767F instead.

The rubber clasp is released by 2 Spring bars. I changed one yesterday and it took me about 30 seconds. The tools that driver referenced are the best

I could have been a little more helpful there... If you squeeze the rubber from the sides where it enters the clasp, you can see the spring bars. The rubber is soft enough that you can pinch it in like that to be able to access the spring bars.

Cheers for the heads up guys. Yep my AD without fail can have all its staff in there thumb twiddling and I still get a collection ticket....

And once you do it a few more times you'll have it down to no time at all.
