Post subject:  The difference between these two models.
I have been banging my head trying to figure out the difference between Breitling model number A37340351G1P1 and A37340351G1P2. The only difference is price. The one ending in 2 is $200 less. I heard the difference is the strap the one that is higher priced has a clasp deployment and the other a tang. The Breitling site shows no difference. Anyone have any input? Thanks!

You have it right. The one that ends in 1 is deployant and the one that ends in 2 is tang buckle. That's the only difference.

It's personal preference... I hate tang buckles so to me it's worth the premium.

My limited experience with a Breitling rubber strap was on a tang and I’d never do it again. I’d recommend the deployant clasp.

+1, especially where Breitlings are concerned. For some reason any Breitling pin buckles I've had have always had a very sharp leading edge that's eaten straps.

$ 200.00 extra is a great deal. Deployants on eBay sell for $300+. New I think they’re around $ 400.A tang basically has 1/4 inch adjustment capability. Deployant has 1/16 inch ! I sometimes adjust mine several times a day, hot,cold,work,relax. You will be glad you got it.
