Post subject:  Which Navitimer to choose

Hi everyone, bare with me I’m new here!

But I have a dilemma, albeit not the worst dilemma in the world to have.

im looking for a new breitling navitimer (not the 8 ) and I understand it maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but I love them and have wanted one for the last couple of years.

im set on having an in house movement B01 or B03, but here is the Dilemma, I have been offered a Rattrapante with a 30% discount (steel) (from a breitling Boutique) and have also been offered a also brand new navitimer B01 43mm in rose gold with a massive 45% discount from a reputable London watch dealer, although the gold navi is 2k more, it’s around the list price of the rattrapante, So the question is, although I think the Rattrapante is the movement to choose (although would not be used to its full potential) and I love the look of them both just the same, taking into account the discount, which is the best purchase for future value.

Fyi I’m not thinking of making money but just thinking of what happens when I fall in love with another watch and Need to trade one in!

thank you all in advance for your replies

I'd buy the Rattrapante since I would prefer to wear it on the bracelet and also since I could never pull off a gold watch.

I know what you mean, I would really love the Gold 01, but just don’t know if I will get the wear out of it in jeans and a polo shirt! It’s the discount that keeps drawing me in as the price is lower than I can find a good quality pre owned.

How on earth do you guys gets such huge discounts for these watches? My AD does not go beyond 18%, despite being a repeat customer. :(

This is a tough call.

Rattrapante has that gorgeous bronze dial and rare chronograph complication but is 45 mm.

Rose gold B01 Navitimer at 43 mm is beautiful and more wearable for me.

But, if I would have intention to change a watch in the future I think I would go for Rattrapante. I think there's not so many people that are interested in gold watches nowadays so loss could be greater.
