I took my Breitling for servicing, it's about 8 years old and never has been serviced. The estimate back said the crown needs to be replaced. What would cause a broken crown? The only thing I could think of is I use my teeth to pull the crown out......I bite my nails, so can't use them!

But teeth marks don't seem to equate to a new crown to me. Any ideas?

pulling the crown with your teeth! not even biting your nails is a good rationale for that!

you have probably damaged the crown meeting the winding stem

How else do you pull it out? I figured since it was $80 for the repair, on top of the (I think) $700 might as well. Downside is it takes over a month!
