Post subject: | Bentley 6.75 question |
I have a Breitling Bentley 6.75 that is just over 2 years old. The Date mechanism has started giving me problems. The left date is not aligned with the right and sometimes the date does not change at midnight and requires me to manually change the date. If i manually run the watch past 12 the date changes without fail, but does not do it on its own. Is it possible that i just dont have the watch wound enough? I took it to my local AD where a breitling certified repairman said he could not work on the 6.75 and it needs to go back to breitling. Another repairman who is not breitling certified, but is Rolex certified, says he can take a look at it. Is there an issue with a non-certified breitling repairman opening the watch? I really dont want to send it to BUSA unless absolutely necessary. PLEASE give me some advice. Thanks!!! |

Thanks!!! Could be a number of causes, have you used the quick set date between 8pm and 3am by any chance? If the watch is now over 2 years old then there is no warranty issue so you can certainly take it whereever. It comes down to how much you trust someone to work on your watch - how many 6.75 movements has the Rolex repairer worked on?? |
