Are Navitimer bezels normally difficult to rotate ? Does it need lubricating ? |

Mine slides without effort. I don't know of they lubricate that part when serviced. |

Assuming the bezel isn't damaged it's usually dirt / grime. Not lubricated during servicing, just cleaned. |

I have seen it here somewhere or perhaps another forum where you would seek watch wisdom or maybe it was the one in another time and another zone Try dental floss to free up the grime under the bezel. It might just do the trick. |

We had similar thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=60258 Last post in that thread by Revox says: Revox wrote: I just reversed my own Navitimer.. Below the Bezel there are two gaskets: a white PTFE (Teflon) one and above an black O-Ring.
The PTFE Gasket should allow a smooth turning operation. If there is dirt or the gasket is worn off, it will not turn smoothly any more.. Flight pressure has normally nothing to do with it, just a bad coincidence that it recognized it first after the flight. I made the new gasket myself out of a PTFE Foil with 0.2mm thickness but am looking for a supplier which can deliver me a professional one... Regards Werner P.S. If anybody is more interested in this I can also supply some pictures.. |

The navitimer slide rule bezel is meant to have rotate at a smooth controlled pace. Granted an 'initial push' is required to get the bezel going. When I first got my navitimer world, the bezel was definitely hard to rotate in comparison with other navitimer. Unfortunately I noticed this after I purchased the watch. I returned it to the boutique and the watch was sent to the maintenance center were they addressed the problem. It now has a very smooth swing. |
