Post subject:  Transocean Day/Date not staying wound

Hi all,

I bought a new Transocean Day/Date about two years ago and it has never seemed to stay wound. I always thought it was the cheap watch winder (although it always keeps my Montbrilliante Legende wound). I recently upgraded to a nicer winder and I still have the same problem. I've also a few occasions noted the time I put the watch in the winder and then noted the time on the watch when it is unwound and it's only staying wound about 6 to 8 hours. I just don't get it. My winder is set to wind both directions and it does 900 RPD. I would think this should be sufficient to keep the watch wound.

So should I keep blaming the winder or should I just bite the bullet and bring the watch in? Any chance it's still under warranty?

It's likely the automatic winding mechanism, an easy fix as part of a service. Warranty is two years so if that's the window since you bought it hopefully you are not quite at that point yet.
