I have purchased a new Breitling online. It came with full papers and serial no. A 100% genuine watch, obtained through a long established and very well known British internet company. However, the guarantee is incomplete in that it is not filled in with the AD's name, address and sales signature (The gaurantee is properly perforated with the dealer code etc and date of sale, and I was able to source the watch back to the original dealer in SoCal. My question is, after reading the conditions, is that guarantee still valid and the watch be accepted for work under warranty by Breitling, if I were to send the watch direct to the Breitling Service Centre I I get the impression an AD would refuse to honour it)?

Just a thought. I don't expect this beautifully made timepiece to give problems anyway.

Breitling will refuse to honour the warranty because you didn't buy it through an AD. The warranty that you got with the watch is provided by the online dealer. With intact serials you can get the watch worked on by Breitling, but not under warranty.

Breitling would however be very much like to know which Southern California AD has been selling watches to grey marketeers!

I'm sure they would, hence no names will be mentioned.
