Post subject:  watch stop with second hand on chronographe

I have a two year old Chronographe and when I run the second hand, the watch stops after two days. Is that normal? Is ther a way to run the second hand without the watch stopping? Thx. Rhaney

Assuming your watch has an automatic mechanical movement and depending which watch you have, the power reserve should be around 42 hours so don't think you have a problem. If you keep the watch on a winder it may enable you to run the chrono without it running down through it may be an idea to wind it fully (about 40 turns of the crown) before putting it on the winder. Whether or not you run the chrono, the watch will run down after a couple of days anyway. If it's a quartz then it needs a service or the battery is dying.
