Can anyone tell me how one activates the "backlight" on an 04 model Aerospace?

Unless it's an early Avantage it won't have a backlight.

My '04 Aerospace doesn't have one!

The identification n° is E79362 and is an 07 watch at an AD.
If I look in the current (08) Chronolog it says that it has lighting.
I have tried it at the AD but so far have had no results.

Well the Avantage should heve a backlight as far as I know so I would guess that it would be similar to the B-1 in that the crown is pushed in to operate the light.

Maybe it's only the current version which has this facility!

Someone will know - that's for sure.

Oh - :welcome:

Depending on the ambient lighting, you may not see the lighting when activated.

Firstly set it so that you are at one of the digital display settings. You don't need to have it there, but it is easier to see when set this way.

The tricky part is to just turn the crown about 1/4 of a turn. There is also a speed component to the 1/4 turn. It has to be fast enough, but not too fast. If you do a fast 1/2 turn, you will just change functions.

This is what it should look like with the 'backlight'

Oh and if you push in the crown, it will just beep at you. The beeps just represent the current time.

I had tried the crown and had found the chiming.
Turning the crown a /4 turn (probably as fast as you turn it on a B-1) for the backlight is something one wouldn't expect.
Many thanks for your help.
