Hello!
I bought my Breitling watch 18 months ago. It's 2nd hand watch. According to the documents its first owner bought it in 2005.
I really love this watch and the way it looks. But since the very beginning I noticed it just can't keep the winding charge, though I was told it just passed maintenance before I buy it. I thought that the seller wasn't honest person but there is nothing serious and once I have it maintained everything will be OK.
I tried to do some measurements:

- winding it manually and leave it on the shelf, it worked about 39 hours.
- if I wind it manually and start wear it all day long, it works 39-55 hours (at the same time I made same thing with my Longines and my Hamilton - they both withstand easily 120 hours or more)

I had my Breitling maintained previous month (no Breitling service in my hometown, but the watchmakers there take care about my other two watches and I don't have complaints). Nothing changed - it still lasts 39-55 hours... :(
This is really my favourite watch and I love wearing it. Even I don't pay attention to 15 seconds daily delay.
But that lack of charge really pissed me off :(
What could be wrong with that watch???
Could it be completely worn out?
It's 10 years old watch...

Well there's not much wrong with the reserve - freshly serviced it is only going to last 42 hours. It sounds like either you aren't active enough to keep the reserve topped up from wearing or there is an issue with the automatic winding mechanism. Unauthorised service is also not going to help - it's not a Longines or a Hamilton!

Ok, let's assume I am not active enough.
But it's very strange how cheaper watches could go sharper and stand longer under the same conditions.
I really need to be sure there is some problem with my watch because the closest authorized service is 300km away from my hometown. :?
