Hi there,

I'm new to these forums, and i've recently become the very happy owner of a Breitling Avenger II GMT.

After purchasing the watch from the retail store, i noticed (after about 3-4 days) that the date-counter sometimes got stuck halfway.
I had the watch returned to the store for service, and it was shipped to Breitling. After approx 2 weeks i got the watch back.

Now, i've just noticed that there is a very small piece of hair (or large speck of dust..) inside the watch, just beneath the glass.
It's incredibly annoying. I'll have to go to the store again and have it fixed.

Has anyone else experienced this?
What i'm worried about is that they'll charge me for the service. I clearly believe that this "foreign object" managed to get inside the watch while being serviced earlier.

Yep, send it back, there could be more nasties lurking inside and you shouldn't have to pay to rectify poor QC.

Years ago. A friend of mine who was a barber had a waterproof watch (not a Breitling) which completely stopped. He put it in for a repair to be told it was full of hair! So, waterproof. But not hair proof!! Go figure...
