I searched first... I have had a few Breitlings now, and they all wind differently. My current Transocean Day Date, runs very well, but is the most difficult I have had to wind. Changing the day/date or time is smooth, it's just the 40 turns that kind of grind and is hard to turn. My Avenger II GMT is smooth as silk. My (traded) Superocean II Abyss was hard to turn also, almost the same as my TO. My (traded) Cockpit was also smooth as silk.

So why are some models harder to wind than others?

Thanks for your time.

Resistance is based on the number of years in the keyless works, the way they mesh together, the lubrication, the tolerances in the teeth, etc. It's impossible to say whether one watch (and it won't be model specific exclusively), so if it feels too stiff have it checked out.

Thanks for the response Roff, I appreciate it. It's only the initial wind that's a kind of stiff, the other functions are fine. I'll stop by my AD sometime soon and have them give it a wind compared to the others. Thanks again.
