I have a question about Breitling’s services.
I have Avenger II GMT, I would like to replace the crystal.
I contacted with them, they told me it will take 8 weeks at least, is that right??
And they also told me that if I replace the crystal, I need to do maintenance service.
I don’t know why they do not make sure about price and how long it will take.
So I found the other certified service center, Horological Service in PA, but they told me I don’t need a warranty card. It looks weird. But they told me it will cost $380 total, and it will take 4 weeks!
So, I would like to know your opinion, which one is better?
I just wanna make sure with u guys before I ship to them

Horological Services are authorised for vintage work and are well known for that, they aren't authorised for modern pieces as far as I know. Maintenance service is required with a crystal replacement because the integrity of the movement is compromised - dirt, etc. can get in.

I did a crystal replacement of my seawolf. It was $430 for the crystal. The handset and service was waved, because they were replacing the dial under warranty. All in, its probably $800. don't see how its possible for under $400.
