Hello, Recently acquired a Colt Chrono TransOcean but the glass has serious scratches to the crystal itself, so it's in need of fixing or a change. Could you tell me if replacements are available (even non-original but a perfect fit), or if you know of a good method of polishing Sapphire? I've read several articles on the web but couldn't reach a definitive conclusion (the scratching is rather deep and there are some pinpoint markings as well). I plan to visit an optical laboratory, their techniques for fixing lenses may apply to crystals as well. Kind regards, Costin |

Breitling can supply replacements, costs vary considerably. Refinishing sapphire isn't particularly feasible because it is so hard - no equivalent to polywatch for example. |

Thank you for the info! I figured Breitling might still have spares, will give them a try (even though I expect to pay more for the crystal than I paid for the entire watch). |
