Put on my Navitimer this morning ( I rotate watches daily, so it was Navi day) and noticed that date was one day off but the time was dead on and when I went to correct the date by winding forward 24 hours I determine the time was accurate from the standpoint of being AM not PM. So my question is this, does the movement in this watch reduce energy to non-essential functions, IE date or chrono, as the main spring winds down ? Or was this a bizarre coincidence that the time was dead-nuts-on and the mainspring run down when I noticed the date was off ? If not coincidental, and in some way the mainspring energy is directed toward time keeping first and everything else second how does the movement regulate that ?
