Post subject: | Blackbird Blacksteel Limited Edition - different versions? |
Hi everyone, are there different versions of the Breitling Blackbird Blacksteel Limited Edition by 2000 pieces? I think somewhere I read there would be a 2010 Edition and a 2012 Edition, and a few hours ago someone wrote he has a 2011 Edition to sell? I read about two different reference numbers as well, M4435911 and M44359-1022. On the Breatlingsource-website I found only out about the existence of the 2010-version: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... d_222.html but some retailers list their watch as year 2012, this one e.g.: http://www.chrono24.de/breitling/blackb ... 823577.htm If there are really different versions, where are the differences? Thanks for your help! |

I'm not aware of any differences in the blacksteel Blackbird, announced in 2010 as far as I know. |

Also not aware of any other Blackbird Blacksteel Limited Editions other than the one introduced at Baselworld 2010 and featured in Pure Breitling (2010) catalogue. It was limited to 2000 pieces and the model reference number stamped on case back is M44359. The fact that some may refer to their Blackbird Blacksteel as 2011 or 2012 may simply be due to it being the purchase date as stamped in the warranty booklet. Just like the Current Navitimer, you would be quoting the year 2013 if you purchased it in 2013 and not 2011 which is the year it was introduced in. |

Okay, thanks for your answers so far! In this video at 9:13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIESalqknjo and in this video at 2:21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYEGkkKDifc you can see the reference number of these watches is M4435911. Can anybody explain what this -11 means after M44359 and what it means if it has -1022 instead, please? |

No consensus on the last couple of digits of a reference number. Would like to see evidence of one ending in -1022. |

Yes, they claim it. I don't see a case back shot that shows it. |
