Post subject: | SuperOcean Iterations |
Hello: I would like to buy a SuperOcean (A17360) style model. And I was wondering how I could find out when they changed each iteration(s) of their models? Is there any links or threads that I could peruse to find out what to look for so I can purchase one that is one of the newer models? I just do not want to purchase one that is 8 or 10-years old, etc. I want to find a SuperOcean prior to them going to a more "diver's" style dial. Any help and/or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.......... |

Roffensian wrote: Most reliable way to date is here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_dating.shtml. Thanks so much for your reply Roffensian...... What I am ultimatley looking for is a way to see how each of the SuperOcean's models have changed over the past 10 or so years. I know a few years ago the SuperOcean went through a makeover, but I am trying to see what each of the past few years what each "dial" has lloked like so I can narrow down a timeframe of what model I like so I can purchase a pre-owned one. It has been a bit confusion trying to see the different model iterations, etc. So I hope that helps in what info I am trying to get. A link, web site, forum, etc that shows each model through the years. Many thanks again............. |

OK, so take a look at this page - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... n_101.html. The description at the top describes the hand and dial changes. However, bear in mind that older models may have been serviced with newer hands so the case dating is still more reliable. |

You're correct, I saw an older model recently that did in fact go to BUSA that had updated hands. |

Hi guys, Going to ask probably a daft question but here goes....... I love the superocean 2009 version onwards with the arrow hour hands and hollow numbers. Could I send my pre 2009 superocean away for service and also have the face and hands changed to the new 2009 version? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

No. Breitling won't modify models, hands get updated as they are standard service parts and older styles go out of stock, but that's it. |
