Hi

My breitling Bentley GT sometimes stops working and or loses time when taken off overnight. Started to happen about two weeks ago. I have performed a 40 turn wind and when left off my wrist the watch will normally run to about 38 hours. Issue is why watch is losing time and or stops working. Is it time for a service ?

Is breitling main dealer the best place to send the watch if in the UK if a service is indeed required. Any idea on the price for service on this model.

I am unsure of its age as I purchased the watch used and it did not come with any paperwork. I have had the watch since February.

If the power reserve is 38 hours that's a good indication that a service is needed. The stopping is likely a combination of a worn out mainspring and a loss of lubrication in the running train.

In the UK I believe that you can either send the watch to BUK in Tunbridge Wells directly or via an AD. Don't have current UK service costs but there is generally a PDF on the maintenance section of the Breitling website (am on phone and can't get to full site for maintenance in the UK right now). Full service is probably GBP350 or so.
