Post subject:  Colt Chrono – Bottom button not working

Hi

Bottom button on my 2006 colt chrono with B73 movement has stopped working – there is no resistance when I press it and the chronograph will not stop. This problem has occurred intermittently in the past, however it always fixed itself after a few hours of the chronograph running. Has anyone ever experienced this problem or knows anything about it? Your advice will be much appreciated.

The bottom button shouldn't work if the chronograph is running. You need to stop the chronograph with the top button, and then press the bottom one.

This is a B073 Quartz movement. The bottom button on this particular model is used to pause the chronograph, without interrupting time count, or, if pressed after the top button is pressed, to reset the chrongraph.

If it's not working, take it to a watchmaker. Oftentimes things like this are an easy and inexpensive fix.

Sorry, missed that it was quartz.

That's likely not a mechanical issue, probably a problem on the circuit board, so definitely needs Breitling service attention - especially if it's recurring.

It feels like a mechanical fault - the button feel changes. I wander if anyone has had the same problem.

It's possible that the pusher is not engaging properly, but regardless of cause it's going g to need service attention.
