Shortly after purchasing a new Navitimer I noticed the upper pushepiece which starts and stops the chronograph's seconds hand will stick in the depressed position and must be pulled out manually before returning to the extended position. Is this normal? If not what is the remedy?

It's not normal at all and you say it's new ...? Remedy ? Take it to your AD immediately and let him find the remedy, it's his problem :?

Absolutely.

It's likely a simple problem with the spring, but definitely a warranty issue for the AD to resolve.
