Post subject: | Navi World Second Timer button faulty |
Hey guys, I've been having some problem with my Navi World. It functions totally fine, but the button that starts the timer is kinda slow to come back to normal after pushing in. ![]() It's this top button, when i push in, the chrono works fine, and the button eventually come out normally, but it seems like it gets stuck and takes 2~3 seconds to come back to normal position. Again, functionally nothing is wrong, just a "sticky" button. Watch is about 3 yrs old, I had a maintenance service at Breitling USA headquarter in Connecticut about 1~1.5 yr ago. I am traveling out very soon and won't have time to send my watch to Breitling USA for this service. 1. What do you think is wrong with this button malfunctioning? 2. Should I go to local SA (Tourneau) to repair? How much do you think it'll cost? 3. Should I wait until later (~2months) until I come back and send to Breitling Service? How much do you think it'll cost? thanks! |

Cost is impossible to predict without knowing what is wrong with it. It may simply be a problem with the spring, but it could also be something inside the movement, no way to know for sure without opening it up and checking, and I wouldn't get Tourneau to do that. |

It seems like the pusher action is a little stiff. I have suffered the same problem on one of my watches. I would suggest it's either alignment if the pusher or more likely lubrication of the tube. They sometimes get a little dry or perhaps contaminated with dirt or solid matter. The movement does have a corresponding return action after the stop watch function us activated but the pusher also returns itself in a positive action. It will need disassembly and lubricating. |
