Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and first of all I'd like to say thanks in advance for any help, suggestions etc; anyone can provide me.

I'm the proud owner of a Colt Ocean Automatic (A17050), purchased in 2000. I currently have the original rubber strap that came with it and I also ( I apologize if I say incorrectly) have a bracelet strap W/clasp. It has the # 2998 on the inside of it.

OK, now to my questions. I've been jonesing for the new Ocean Racer rubber strap with the holes in it and I was hoping someone could tell me what size I would need for my watch and, other then my Authorized Dealer, were I could purchase one? and while I'm at it what kind of cost should I be looking at?

Sincerely,

Kvorka

Welcome. First to tell you that your watch has lug width of 18mm and that number on your bracelet isn't a ref.# but approx date of bracelet manufacture. It's made in 29th week of 1998. Bad news is I don't believe that OR are made in 18mm.

Thanks for reply, I appreciate the feedback. I'm pretty sure my AD (here in the States) has that size you mentioned. I just don't remember what the cost was or if would be better to purchase online.

Thanks again,

Kvorka

I really thought that the smallest OR was 20-18 (for the SOH 38), I would check with your AD that he really has one for 18mm lugs.

In terms of where to buy, as a general rule ADs are the best place to get straps, grey market prices aren't generally much better.

I apologize I was incorrect, I went to my AD today and in fact they do not have this strap for my watch nor is it available in 18mm. Thank you though to those who replied.
