Hi,

I'm not sure if I should send my watch in for repair. A few weeks ago I reset the time on my Breitling Cockpit (Over 3 years Old) and since it has been gaining about a minute and half daily.

My worry is the cost of repair if I returned it to Breitling. Have I done something that has caused this problem?

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Poet.

Most obvious cause is that it has become magnetised - stored too close to a cell phone, speaker, etc. Take it to a watchmaker and have them demagnetise it - takes 2 seconds and shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks.

Thanks for that Moderator. It does make sense as I reset its time with the time on my cell phone; I left both together on the table for a few hours.
