but like I stated...just a noob! :oops:
Q. What are those numbers engraved right below the model number on the caseback of the watch? For instance, the model for the particular watch is A17360 but right below it were more numbers engraved in small features...this one says 998442. Could it be the production date?

If I am not mistaken those numbers would be the watch's individual serial number.

Hi there Erwin,

On the front page of the forum, you will find a lot of very good material on Breitling in general. Although you might not find exactly what you are looking for, its a great place to start with the various model and serial numbers. etc. Its also very good for identifying modern Lings and the general appearance and technical details you should expect to see. :)

Silly me for not checking the warranty paper it came with...it's the serial number! :wowzers
