Just purchased a limited edition B1 recently and the Bezel won't rotate on it. Don't want to force it incase I do some serious damage. Is there a locking mechanism on the bezel or is mine just stuck from lack of use?

Will I have to send it to breitling to rectify the problem or does anyone have a quick fix?

No, there's no locking mechanism.

It is quite stiff compared to the Navitimer since the bezel movement is transferred to the slide rule via a series of gears but should not need more than a light twist.

I suspect it may have sat unused in a draw for a time so a service/battery change would be a wise move.

Thanks Sharkmouth,

I figured it might need to be serviced. How long do service's normally take and how much should I budget for one? By the way I'm in the UK.

Well basing this on my recently Le Mans service, you can expect it to take about 5 weeks and I'd budget around £400 if I was you. Obviously this is based on a Bentley auto, so the cost may be different on a B-1 quartz, but it should give you a rough idea.
