I have just purchased a new EVO and have a couple of questions I'm hoping to get some help with. I'm not exactly new to the Aerospace as I've been wearing a 1996 model as my day to day watch since way back then. I just figured it was time to get a new one as I like the new style/bracelet as well as the light will be very helpful. My questions are: 1) On the lower display I have it set to show day and date. I noticed yesterday (Wednesday) it showed what looked like IOU? I know what you're thinking and yes, it is set to English. : ) Today all is fine and it is showing TH as well Monday was good showing MO. What am I missing here? 2) The display light. In the manual it shows rotating the crown slowly lights up the 2 digital displays for 6 seconds. That it does, however I was fiddling with it last night and one time the hands also lit up? I couldn't get it to do it again but it was really nicely lit for night viewing. There is nothing in the manual regarding lighting up the hands so I am confused? Other than those 2 items I love the watch ![]() Thanks... |

In response to question #2,The area of the hands that have the lume are cut out and the lume is applied within. The light from the LCD was shining through the lume and that's what you noticed. The same thing happened to me once. It was pretty cool. |

Interesting and your right, it did look very cool! ...and very easy to read. Would be nice if Breitling could figure out a way to channel some of that light towards the hands anytime the digital display is lit. One more mystery to solve... Thanks for your reply Pete! |
