My wife has had her Galactic 30 for just about a year and it has suddenly stopped working - I'm presuming this is the battery. Is it reasonable to expect this to be sorted under warranty as I thought superquartz had a longer battery life than just a year? The watch was made to measure from BUK so this isn't a case of it just being in the dealer for some time.

Wouldn't automatically assume that it's the battery as battery life on that model should be a lot longer than a year. Definitely needs to be checked under warranty.

That had crossed my mind but I'm surprised and a bit disappointed if that's the case - anyway we will return it to the AD next week.

As an update it has started working again with the second hand moving normally. Not sure whether to monitor for a while or return it anyway.

The only thing that should have stopped it with a good battery is pulling the crown out. If that didn't happen then there is a problem that is unlikely to have fixed itself and I would definitely be getting it checked out.

It stopped again this morning and I've ascertained that the problem is related to the crown not always making contact when pushed in - if you apply slight pressure to the pushed in crown, it often starts up again until you release it. Also pulling and pushing the crown back in after turning it sometimes starts the second hand moving again.
