Post subject: | Advice on Winding watch. |
I've noticed that I need to regularly wind my Skyland so I thought I would do a test. I wore it on Saturday 6th and made sure I gave it around 60 turns before I went out so it was on the wrist for around 12 hours! I put it back in the case Sunday morning and thought I would leave it to see how long it would run for! Anyway I noticed that the watch has stopped on the 10th at 4pm so when i do the maths that works to be around 76hrs before it dies. I don't know how long they should tick for but I guess different models may be different. Anyway what do the guyz in the know think? |

The power reserve for all current automatic Breitlings is listed as a minimum of 42 hours. If you aren't going to wear the watch on a daily basis then good advice is to wind it once a day with about 25 - 30 turns. A full wind is around 40 turns so 60 is a little bit of overkill, but you can't overwind an automatic so no big deal. |

76 hours of power reserve is great, when they only claim 42! |
