Hi, I just got my first Breitling about a month ago. Second hand from a friend and I was just wondering if this is normal for the date to be between two numbers when it's about 30 minutes from turning over to the next day? Might be a stupid questions but I'm just now getting into watches and I don't know much about them, thanks for the help.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. And it is also the reason you should not adjust the time between 8 pm and 3 am. Because the date changing is engaged and adjust the time during this could damage the watch.

Normal on this particular watch. A few Breitlings have instant date change but the ETA 7750 that is the base movement of your watch is well known for having a long date change. As gbuergisser notes this is the reason for the 'danger zone' of using the quick set date.
