My B-1 one has always been very tight. It is much tighter that my airwolf.
It now is almost impossible to rotate. I was in Nassau last week and took it in to the authorized
Breitling Dealer. They were polite and very kind. He opened the watch and stated that it was missing a spring..part number 240-66.
He said he would have gladly replaced the spring if he had had it in stock. Sadly he did not. This watch was totally overhauled last January by Breitling. Does this sound possible Will a new spring free my bezel?

Thanks in advance for he help. I am really puzzled and frustrated.

Well there should be a click spring, but not sure why a missing one would cause it to be stuck - that sounds more like a broken one or the bezel not being installed properly.

Rolf-
Thank you for your fast response. I watched as the tech gently and meticulously took the watch bezel apart.
He checked the bezel for symmetry and wiped it clean. I just didn't understand how a spring would fix the stuck bezel.
It does indeed move, but takes a great deal of force. My Airwolf and my Son-In-Law's B-1 are smooth and sweet in their rotation. My B-1 is just not right and I know it can be.

Can you give me a reference of someone I can can actually call and arrange to have fix this watch. It is just annoying to know that a B-1 should rotate like butter. The mechanical part of the watch is flawless. I really do use the E6B slide rule as I travel
internationally for business and it is great for currency conversion.

Steve, if you're in the states shoot me a PM and I'll give you a place to send your B-1 for help.
Best,
Ron

B-1 just came back from a month long vacation to Breitling, CT.
The bezel is now perfect. Breitling offered no explanation and no statement of work, but they did
fix it under warranty and it is now perfect....case closed. Thank you for giving me pointers.
