any how after having it done the back light started to work again.......
I set the anolog and digital time now heres the thing the digital time keeps perfect time but the anolog is loosing timeset both times at 18:30 now the digital part reads 19:29 and the anolog reads 19:11 ?????
any ideas it really is getting on my nerves and i dont know if i can take a 6 week wait for breitling to advise so wandered if any one else has had this issue

It's a quartz movement - there is no logic to it as there would be with a mechanical movement. The watch is giving you multiple and repeated indications that it needs servicing...........

Yes guess your right just strange never had a problem, just been waching the watch, i synced everything and noticed the minute hand is moving at 12 1/2 a minute then at 6 another 1/2 min........just bad timing with money excuse the punt just brought a fighter strap for it aswell :|
Do you think it needs a main service or just a battery maint at Breitling uk

Well yes, but it should still stay in synch with the quartz - it just 'ticks'. I think that it needs a proper service, not just a battery change.

It is essential that you synchronize the analog display with the digital display before setting the time on your caliber 78 B-1. If you don't have the manual, here is a link to the PDF file.... http://www.9x19mm.com/b1.pdf You must have Adobe's "Acrobat Reader" (freeware) on your computer to open the file after saving it to your desktop. Follow the instructions on page 29 of the manual for the synchronization and then set the time following the instructions on page 30. Afterwards, the minute hand will jump 1/2 minute every time the sweep second hand (and the digital seconds display) hits "0" and "30". If the procedure is done correctly and the watch does not perform as described above then yes, a service may be necessary. BTW, even if you're familiar with "synchronizing" the watch, it sometimes requires a little concentration to get it right the first time. Also, it only takes a "bump" (or a weakening battery) to knock the watch out of synchronization. The minute hand "jump" will be off but the digitals will continue to display the correct time. Re-synch it and get on down the road when that happens. Even with a fresh battery, my B-1 will lose synch every now and again, perhaps once a month, more or less, as much as a few times a day when the battery is weak. A fresh battery usually performs well for longer than two years, sometimes well past three and a half years in fact. :)
Best,
Ron

:yeahthat Which is exactly correct. The digital display should now be matching the sweep second hand exactly all around the minutes as well. :D
Best,
Ron

Had problems with the B1, its superquartz i noticed when the watch was off the wrist it never lost time, now when i put it on my wrist after a few hours the second hand would hit 12 and 30 point and the min hand would not move, so anologue part would just loose time!! ive had a few B1's and never had this problem.
Anyway decided its time it went to BUK so sent it today for a full service. I will let you know what they say.......
Just gutted im without a watch for 8 weeks feels like ive lost an arm
