Post subject:  Airwolf magnetic issues

I have an Airwolf that I purchased Aug 2010. Last night I set it on top of my ipad with a magnetic cover for the night. When I went to put it on this morning the digital displays were all screwed up. I am planning on mailing it in to Breitling USA and sending in my warranty booklet as well. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with the digital displays? Anyone have any idea as far as the cost of repair? I have worn it basically everyday since I bought it with no issues. Anything else I need to know about sending it in besides insuring it and bubble wrapping it?

I know in the owners manual it talks about keeping the watch away from magnetic fields. Boneheaded move on my part.

It's a more serious issue with quartz movements than with mechanical, and it may well require movement replacement - let Breitling assess and keep your fingers crossed!

I received my estimate for repair today. Breitling USA is going to service the watch for free even though it is a few months out of warranty. I am pretty satisfied so far. Great watch and great service.

Some good press for BUSA, which is nice to see, as a lot of the time reports of them on here are often on the negative side.

Good work BUSA!
