Posted in FS section already.

The chrono second hand of my Crosswind Special fell off - verdict: cracked tube, replacement needed.

Any idea where I can source a replacement without having the watch sent all the way to Aussie?

Another issue - the big date. If you set it manually it behaves as it should i.e. goes from 21 to 22 then to 23, when it changes at 12 or if you adjust it by rotating hands it jumps from 21 to 23 then to 25 and so on, any idea why? :?

The movement has to come out of the case to replace the hand, I wouldn't fancy that unless the watch was also being serviced, but eBay or the WTB that you have might get you one. The date problem sounds like a bent tooth on the date wheel, again requires servicing.
