As a newbie, my first question: is there any way to tighten the buckle (the main buckle, not the second clasp) on a Superocean? Mine seems a bit loose, although the secondary clasp holds securely. Is the larger buckle SUPPOSED to snap tightly, or is this what the second clasp is for? The large buckle does snap into place, but seems to open a bit easily.
Thanks!

They often vary a little bit from watch to watch in terms of the amount of friction they have during closure - mine certainly do a little. As long as it never comes open when you are wearing it I'd say it's fine as it is, but if it feels like it will come open, or if it's bugging you, then I'd suggest taking it to an AD for them to sort out. It will probably involve very slightly bending the sides of the metal in a little to provide more friction on the closure. Of course you could try to do it yourself but if you slip it could be expensive! Best to let the pros do it, as they will be responsible for any slips!

Actually, as I did adjust the secondary "flip" clasp, which made it secure,
I'll probably not mess with it. The AD I purchased it from does not really have a "watchmaker" on premise, just a guy who sizes bracelets, etc. In speaking with him about another matter, I don't think he's especially skilled, and I know better than to mess around with it myself other than the small adjustment I did make.
Thanks for the input!

Just in case anyone else has a similar situation, I just figured out an easy and correct fix for my original question.
Sorry to clutter the forum! 8)

You can tighten the primary clasp slightly by: removing the pin where the slotted clip joins the clasp and inserting a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot to open it up a bit and therefore making a more positive fit . They do wear over time and this provides a bit of extended life.

If I get a chance I'll add a photo to illustrate the method.

Welcome to the forum!

Nothing wrong at all with that question, and great to hear you solved it!
