Hi,

I bought my secondhand Breitling Cockpit watch in March. It was under 12months old and in mint condition. Throughout use, it has been losing about 3 to 31/2 seconds daily, which I feel is good. This last 8 days the watch has probably gained about 3 seconds throughout the 8 day period, brilliant. However, my only concern is, with such a large disparity, is this normal. I think maybe the watch hadn't been wound for some time before my purchase.

Hope I'm making sense,

Thanks in anticipation,

Poet.

That's not a large disparity. Rate can vary by 10+ seconds per day just by being in different positions. It could be one of hundreds of factors, but nothing to worry about.

Thanks Roffensian, I'm happy now you've put my mind at rest.
