Hi Guys,

new to the forum , but have been coming here ever since my wife bought me Breitling Navitimer 1461 (2011) as a wedding gift.
I live this watch, its like a second wife to me!

recently though I have found that the watch is stopping every third or fourth day - and then I have to wind it up again to get it going. I know it has the B19 movement (ETA 2892-A2) and states is has a power reserve of about 42 hours.

I wear the watch everyday - I do work in an office and find myself seated and not moving around too much drung the day but walk about just over a hour day walking to and from work..Surely I thought that would be enough to keep the watch going?

Note that the watch has NEVER stopped while on my wrist though, just when i take it off for the day, go to bed and in the morning it has stopped

Does this sound normal to you guys?

Thanks for any help guys..

It sounds to me as though it's just not getting enough power reserve from wear. It's clearly winding from the rotor otherwise it wouldn't run for 3 - 4 days, it would stop after 42 hours or so. I would just give the watch a few winds of the crown when you take it off and you'll be good to go. Also, make sure that the watch is fully wound after it stops - so 40 winds of the crown.

Thanks for the response... Yes I do wind it 40 times after it stops...

Is it harmful to give it a bit of a wind at the end of each day?

Nope, you can't overwind an automatic.
