Hey guys,

i have a breitling chrono-ocean and the two upper indicators (that indicate the minutes and the tenths of a second when the chrono-meter is enabled) are not centered when i reset the chrono-meter but they show diagonally left. Is that how it is supposed to be?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum!

No, that's not how it should be. Take the watch to your nearest AD and let them have a look. Hopefully it's an easy (read cheap) fix.

:welcome:

No need to take it to the dealer - it's a 2 minute fix.

The Chrono Colt uses the ETA 251.262 quartz movement. Although Breitling do not make their manuals available on-line, Chase-Durer (who use the same movements) do so go here to download.

http://www.chase-durer.com/pdfs/manual_squdroncommand.pdf

It's very simple...

To adjust the 2 o'clock (1/10th sec) sub-dial, pull the crown fully out and press the lower pusher to move the hand around to zero.

To adjust the 10 o'clock (12 hour) sub-dial, set the crown half way out and press the upper pusher to move the hand around to zero.

That should save you a trip into town and an unnecessary bill!

Great post, Sharkmouth!

It never crossed my mind - I was just thinking the automatic chronograph way...

Excellent Sharkmouth

Just sorted my old Festina with a similar method - the sweep hand was at 3 seconds and has been bugging me for ages!

As it says - learning every day
