Hello there all,

I bought a Chrono Shark back in 1992 from London UK, from Selfidges actually, I want to send that watch for service, the problem I have is that I dont think is a very good idea to send the watch for service in Athens, Greece for a number of reasons, I talked to my local AD here in Cyprus, very nice person by the way where I bought recently a Navitimer World, I asked him if is possible to send the watch for service in Switzerland instead of Greece, he politely replied that he cant and told me if I want my watch to be serviced need to send it to Athens.
My question, assuming I decide to send it direct to Switzerland what the best way to send it, do I need to call them first and ask them if is ok to send direct, etc

Thanks

No idea what the process would be to send directly to Switzerland, but I would definitely contact them first, but what's the problem with sending to he Greece service centre? They all have to meet Breitling standards and I have never heard of any issues with the Greek centre.

Hello there, I have finally received my watch back from service from the local AD here in Cyprus, the watch was sent by my local AD to the Athens service center, the initial cost I was told was 660 Euro which consists of 280 euro for the complete overhaul, 30 euro for a new crown and 350 euro for a new Breitling Diver Pro II rubber strap ( deployant version ), When I went to collect my watch I was told that I had to pay another 60 euro for shipping expenses, I was under the impression that the service cost includes the shipping cost, that's what it states at least in the breitling website in the maintenance section.

Thanks

Never heard of that before, and personally have never had work recommended to me that wasn't necessary.

When jou bring the watch to the jeweler they send it to the inporteur Koster en Zonen.
They do a research and then jou get a call from the jeweler, and believe me in that telphone call they tell jou the price for service and what they found, and it is always expensive.
They tell, this is broken or that is wrong etcetra , and you can never check if it is the true.
It is the same with jour car when jou bring it to the garage, but i have my doubts.

From My chronomat they have change the crown and also the watch from my wife (cockpit lady) they change the crown.
