Hi everyone Yesterday a bought a 2nd hand Bentley 6.75 off a well known auction site I drove 200 miles to London and met in a Breitling dealership the watch was handed to both assistants to authenticate and check. They said it was genuine even looked on a breitling pc and ran the serial number through. All boxes and certificate present, the deal went ahead. This morning was the first time to have a play with it but I've found I can't manually wind it I have unscrewed the crown and I feel no resistance at all. I did have a super avenger and I've got an oris so have an idea how it should feel. Could anyone set my mind at ease as I'm not 100% convinced also what should the weight be in grams this is 228g with a steel strap. Thanks in advance. |

If they ran the serial then I wouldn't be worried about fake, it sounds more as though there is a problem with the crown, crown stem or castle gear. When you say that it won't wind I assume that you mean that no matter how many turns you give it the watch isn't gaining a power reserve? A lack of resistance could be caused by any number of factors including a well lubriacated and well assembled watch! |
