Thanks for the info on sizing the OR strap. I got one with my SA about 6 weeks ago and it has been sitting in my dresser drawer as I didn't know how to go about doing this.

Guess I have a project for tonight!

Thanks aleister,

Your guide just made the sizing job so easy .... and my SA got a new look.
It's almost a different watch ;-)

Best regards,
tigergutt

Just finished sizing my black OR strap per your guide. Many thanks! However one thing I found that worked a little better for me was to use a good pair of sharp scissors rather than a knife.

I cut the first segment off using a utility knife (razor blade) and then tried with a good pair of sharp scissors. I had to make several passes using a great deal of pressure with the knife while the scissors made quick work of cutting off the segments.

Do you have any photos of your SA on the oceanracer? I'd love to see them

Just got a new light box and tried it out for the first time. One thing's for sure, the OR is much more comfortable to wear than the bracelet.

The thickness of the OR strap never ceases to amaze me! It really is basically a rubber bracelet. I like it in black.

Awwww maaaaan!

My new OR buckle just arrived to go along with my red strap but there aren't any spring bars to attach it to the buckle. It came with an extra set of spring bars to attach it to the watch case but as you know these are longer than the ones that attach to the buckle because the strap tapers from 24 to 20 mm.

Should I just get an aftermarket one down the street or order some through an AD and wait?

If I were you I'd go for the fastest solution - after all, a set of springbars is always a set of springbars. I know Driver will disagree though...
