I've had my Blackbird BEB for about 5 months now and I hadn't really paid any attention to the "COSC" accuracy until recently.

Here's my problem: when I try to set my watch, I will set my seconds to :00 and then move the minute hand to an upcoming minute so I can have both seconds and minutes in sync. However, after I start the watch again, it seems to take about 45 seconds to a minute for the minute hand to "engage," and I'm left with my watch being accurate on the seconds, but about 45-60 seconds slow on the minutes hand. Maybe the gears have to catch up and it takes about that time to do so..? Do I have to set my minute hand 45-60 seconds ahead of the actual time...?? I am a little annoyed..

Anyone have any suggestions, thoughts?

Your watch is perfectly normal, there is slack in the running train to prevent binding.

If you want to synch it look at the advice from O2AFAC67 in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10570, but be aware that it's a temporary measure.
