On a tangent but hoepfully of interest nonetheless, I put my Skyracer in to the Sydney authorised service centre 1 yr into the warranty last July ish to have it regulated (was losing 30secs per day) and get the date wheel realigned (was well off centre).

The regulation brought it back to within 10secs per day - good enough for me til the next service.

But within a week the date wheel was all out again, and still is. So whatever the problem it's still there.

I'm going to return it before the warranty runs out this July but I do wonder how good they are.

I should also mention in their defence they were very speedy, courteous and provided a good mail return service (I'm not in Sydney).

I just want my date number to be in the middle of the date window.....

I've moved this to a new thread on it's own as it didn't seem relevant to the year-old thread it was attached to.

Pretty hopeless of Breitling not to be able to fix a date wheel issue like that. Keep us informed of the customer service on this one.

My last Skyracer would display the date slightly to the right of dead center in the date window. Throughout most of the day it was just a bit off center and then would gradually move to center later in the day. It wasn't an issue for me, but if it is for you, then they need to get it correct. My Chrono-matic 44, based on the same movement, has the same issue but to a much lesser degree.

I had the same problem years ago. I had to return my Skyracer to BUSA three times before they fixed it for good.

Not a good thing to see this:
