I'd be very grateful if anyone can provide the exact procedure for regulating the current Aerospace (B79 SuperQuartz = ETA E10.451) using the digital calibration points to give +/- 0.33 sec/month.

I have had no success with Google, the Breitling web site, or ETA's technical support (which doesn't list the E10.451). So can anyone here describe what they actually did, or provide a link to official documentation?

Step 1, take it to a watchmaker
Step 2, wait 5 minutes
Step 3, take watch back and say thank you

If not, than you forgot one step before the "thank you"bit

I think it's more like:

Step 1, take it to a watchmaker
Step 1A, watchmaker says he can't do it and it will have to go to Breitling
Step 2, wait 6 weeks
Step 2A, watch returned by Breitling "-10 sec/year is within spec, no adjustment necessary"
Step 2B, pay £50
Step 3, take watch back and say something other than thank you

I know, it's a real bummer. I once missed a flight by 10 sec
I wish I could regulate Mrs. Wessa to -10 min/day !!!

Depends on the relationship that you have with your watchmaker - I have never paid for a regulation.








You need a new AD. Any AD with a Breitling approved watchmaker can do a regulation on a mechanical or quartz piece and the subsequent pressure test. The only movements that they are not allowed to work on are the in house pieces.

Unless they are certified, right? The watchmaker at the Breitling Authorized Service Center in Taipei was very proud to tell me that he has been to Switzerland, did the training and is certified to work on the 01 movements. Is he perhaps telling me fairy tales?

No, that's at a service centre, not an AD.

Gotcha. I will miss this Service Center/Distributor when I move on from Taipei. They have been so good that they even gave me discounts on services and new products.

I was offered a used Aerospace Avantage last year and was lucky enough to wear the watch for a few days before the deal done. I found out that the watch was fast almost one minute a day! Obviously this piece (out of warranty) was a lemon. Than I called the Breitling Service Center here in Budapest if they can regulate the watch. They told me that this is done by a special tool that can be found in Vienna at the nearest. This was the point when I refused to buy the watch. I'm not telling that a normal regulation cannot be done by any Breitling Service Center but this amount of gaining time might need that special tool. To replace the module costs an enormous money, not worth when out of warranty.
