Just got a new B4B 6.75 (black). Was so, so excited to enjoy it, until I noticed that the seconds hand does not reset to zero, it resets to about 59 seconds position, just a little left of where it should be.

Need advice!!! Is this common? Should I replace this by giving it back to my AD?

I'm so bummed :( but, since it's my first Breitling, I've fallen in love with it.

Welcome aboard.
That happens sometimes.
Easy fix, but it has to go back to AD.

does this mean that it was defective? perhaps pre-owned?

Not necessarily, it probably just means that the chrono seconds hand wasn't put on quite perfectly.
